Accounting Administrator - Myers Infiniti

Accounting Administrator – full time

 

Prepare and post various types of accounting entries in compliance with accounting standards. Post all new and used vehicle sales and reconcile related schedules. Assist the controller in preparing monthly financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.

 

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Controller in preparation of monthly financial statements according to dealership guidelines and within the Manufacturer’s format and time frame
  • Ensures that all vehicle sales are posted into the accounting system
  • Completing remittances of warranties, insurances, etc.
  • Reviewing and maintaining certain accounting schedules related to vehicle sales monthly to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Process accounts payable invoices and preparation of payments
  • Oversees and assists the payoff of vehicle floor plan
  • Process and reconcile receivables from manufacturer
  • Audits petty cash monthly for the dealership
  • Assist in preparing fiscal year-end working papers for auditors
  • Prepare monthly JEs

 

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  • 4 Years Post Secondary Education with a concentration in Accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in the accounting field with a thorough understanding of the accounting cycle and theory
  • Working towards CPA designation an asset
  • Advance Excel (e.g. pivot tables, filters, lookup, etc.) is required
  • Demonstrated ability to independently research, identify problems, and recommend process improvements
  • Possess strong analytical and organization skills
  • Good interpersonal skills for dealing with people at various levels throughout the organization
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines
